Simple Gold Eye Make Up Tutorial

Gold Eye Makeup
Gold is a great shade especially for Indian skin tones as it works great on the warm skin tones Indians have. Plus gold can be used for much about any look and occasion and you will never look out of the place. It is a very versatile shade with an innumerable numbers of looks that can be created with this particular shade.  Most of all this shade looks awesome with any skin tone, warm and cool. So you have no need to worry about whether it is meant for you or not!
Here’s a quick and easy to do eye makeup with gold for you to try:

Products needed:
  • primer and concealer
  • a light gold eye shadow
  • a bright dark golden eye shadow or a orange golden eye shadow
  • a dark brown shade for the crease
  • eye liner
  • mascara
  • eyelash curler/ fake lashes
  • a highlighter shade
Step 1:
gold eye shadow look
Conceal the under eye area for dark circles and to provide an even look for the eye makeup
Step 2:
Prime the eyes with a good primer. Priming the eyelids help to keep the shadow on for many hours and also helps to prevent creasing. Those who have oily eyelids should definitely try a primer as it will surely help in keeping the eyelids free from oils for a much longer time. For this look I’m not using any primer.
Step 3:

Apply the light gold shade as a wash all over the lids from the inner corners to the outer corner. Do not extend outwards. Also keep in mind not to extend the eye shadow above the crease. Blend the eye shadow well and even out any patches for an even look. Use a blending brush to blend in all the eye shadows.
Step 4:

Now take the bright gold shade (loose pigment like mac golden lemon) and apply it on the outer 2/3rd of the lid. Do not extend it. .keep the amount of shadow used reasonable as we do not want a dramatic look. Take your blending brush and blend the shadow well with the wash shade we had applied earlier. This bright shade will catch the light and also it will make the eyes pop.
Step 5:

Now with an angled eye shadow brush take a dark brown/ bronze shade and apply it on the outer corner of the eyes and make a sharp edge. Also take the shade again and apply it in the crease. Blend it from inwards to outwards.
Step 6:
Blend the crease shade well with the gold shade and smoothen all harsh lines. Take a bit of the bronze/brown shade on a pencil brush and line the lower lash line from the outer 2/3rd
Step 7:
Now take a light highlighting shade on to a fluffy brush. Tap off excess shadow. Then apply it below the brow bone to highlight the eyes. Also take a little bit on a pencil brush or a q-tip and apply gently near the inner corner of the eyes and tear duct. This will give an instant pop to the eyes.

We have a lot of glittery makeup so we need to keep the rest simple. Apply a very thin line of eyeliner and apply a thin line of kajal . It’s preferred if you use brown eyeliner and smudge it as it will look better. Also use the same brown eye pencil to line the lower lash line.
Step 9:
Apply some fake lashes or apply some generous amounts of mascara and you are done. Curl your lashes if needed.
