This holiday season; perk your eyes up with Reds and Blues.
Items you will need:
- Red eye shadow: use either a pearlescent, shimmery or matte.
- Blue eye shadow: same as red, choose between a pearlescent, matte and shimmery.
- a shadow base/ primer
- a light eye shadow or highlighter
- concealer
- eyeliner (gel/liquid) and kohl
- mascara
Step 1:
Apply the concealer around the eye area to conceal all traces of spots and under eye circles or spots.
Blend it well to help avoid patchy look.
Use a good concealer to hide the under eye circles and make the eye area ready to be primed (i have used blue heaven concealer stick in natural).
Step 2:
Take the eye shadow primer and prime the eyes, it helps keep the shadow longer without clumping or creasing.
Use any primer, I used ‘faces metaliglow’ eye primer because of its metallic sheen.
Step 3:
Apply the red eye shadow with an angular wet brush all over the lid and create a sharp edge at the outer corner.
Blend the shadow nicely as to get a neat look. Try to make a neat line on the edge and once that is done, apply the blue eye shadow.
Easy trick to get a clean edge:
Take an ear bud and soak it in makeup remover. Take a piece of paper and place it gently over the eye shadow. Once you get the desired position, swipe the ear bud on the outer edge of the paper to get a clean crisp edge.
Step 4:
Apply the blue eye shadow from the outer corner and blend it in towards the inner corner. Take a bit of the blue eye shadow in the angular brush and line the bottom lash line.
Step 5:
This is a dramatic festive look, so you need to have the oomph to it. Draw a medium thick line with your black eye liner from the inner corner and slightly thicken it at the outer corner. When you reach the end of the upper eyelid, just create a thin flick.
Step 6:
Apply some kohl/kajal on the lower waterline, just 1/3rd from the outer corner.

Step 7:
Apply a highlighting eye shadow below the brow and in the inner corner of the eyes. Blend all harsh edges of the eye shadows and clean the fallouts.

Step 8:
Use a coat of mascara and your look is ready. You can use either waterproof mascara or go with artificial lashes.
