Rimmel London Exaggerate

From the moment I came to know that Rimmel has come to Kolkata, I was dying to check out the stuff. It feels awesome to check out a whole new brand and variety of stuff that they have to offer, it’s a fresh feeling altogether. On my recent trip to the mall, I made sure to visit the counter and I was happy and sad at the same time.  Happy because I had a whole new brand to explore and sad because the SA was so poorly informed. They had no idea of the price, benefits, the product at large. Moving on, today, I am going to review a lip liner from Rimmel in the shade Epic 045.

Packaging:

Simple sturdy body. The cap is strong also and shuts with a click. The details are printed on the body with silver color and the body color is similar to the shade inside. I feel that is an added advantage when you have a few shades from the same brand.  Its slanted tip reminds me of the Maybelline lip liners which were available a while ago.  Those were only one way twist-up pencils, but this one twists both ways (thankfully!)

Texture:

Proper pigmentation with one stroke and does not budge easily.  I want my lip liners to be creamy as they give me a better control. This liner is pretty good in terms of texture as it is neither too creamy nor too hard, that tugs or pulls your lips.

Price:

Rs. 245/- for 0.25 gm.

My Experience with Rimmel London Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner – Epic:

I am new in the world of lip liners but I must say that I am enjoying this part of the beauty regimen. I am using lip liners every single day and hence I want a variety in the shades of liners. My recent visit to the Rimmel counter made me try all the shades of liners and I zeroed on this.

Not only is this a natural shade, it also compliments my skin tone. In the lip swatch, I have applied all over my lips and topped over with a transparent lip balm. The shade is good in terms of variety as it will cover most of my orange, coral and brick lipsticks.  Overall, I am pretty impressed with the lip liner as it will not pinch the pocket. Only con is that, due to the slanted tip, you might not be able to draw a very fine line. I am okay with a slightly thick line, so that is not an issue with me. If you are looking for a “n*dish” lip liner with a hint of orange, then you can pick this one easily.
