Joy 24 Carat Gold Glow Facial Kit Review

Hello sweeties,

Facial kits are really economical and easy to use. When you do not really have time to go to the parlour and give yourselves a two hour treat, that is the time when these kits become your best friends. Actually this saves on time as well as gives you what you actually want from a facial. I do not go out to the parlour to get facials as I think I still have baby skin so I tell mommy to give me a nice soothing facial at home. I have used many kits from VLCC, joy, shahnazhussain and nature’s essences. But so far from Joy, I really like this one.

Price: Rs 200 (for all the 4 contents and I even got a face wash free..yayyy..!!)

First I will give you guys on overview about the kit and then jump to the individual experiences. The kit has 4 things in it and they are almost perfect, meaning they have covered almost all the essentials that are required for a proper facial. The tubes are a little smaller in size than a palm and one tube can at least be used 3-4 times. And looking at the price you will be really excited that seriously, I can use it for like 4 times?There were many variants but I picked this one as I have used this earlier as well. One important thing is that chilled ice has to used while using this facial kit. As in you should dip your hands several times in ice water and then continue massaging as normally the contents are very dry and will not at all give you a good massage. But a simple step of using the ice will give you a complete different experience. It instantly gives glow to your skin and does not even sting at any level.

The skin looks the brightest immediately after using this, so you can use this before attending some function. This one is the best back-up I have at home and I am going to buy a new one as soon as I finish this. These are anyday better than VLCC I think personally. They have a very refreshing aroma and an awesome smell which makes it exactly like the parlor experience.

Step 1: Glow scrub cleanser

Directions: Moisten face and neck. Apply with wet fingertips in circular motions for few minutes, avoiding the eye contour area. Rinse well and pat dry.

My experience: The scrub is really mild and not very harsh on the skin as you guys can see in the picture, it is creamy which makes it perfect for massaging and small granules which exfoliate the skin. Normally when I used the VLCC scrub, my skin used to burn a lot in the next step of the facial as it was too harsh, but this was a good one and did not cause problems like that. It has gold dust as well but I am not sure what it does. Mom massaged my skin with this scrub for like 10 minutes for a very proper exfoliation. It is a very nice scrub which removes the dirty layer of the skin and cleans up very well.

Step 2: Glow cream

Directions: Moisten face. Gently massage the cream for 7-8 minutes till completely absorbed. Rinse off or clean with a moist cotton pad.

My experience: This one is a pure massage cream that actually is infused in the skin to make it radiant and glowing. This works superbly with ice water and relaxes you, I actually slept during this process. The skin is toned and looked even brighter after I rinsed this cream off. Massage it for like 10-15 minutes and you will feel on top of the world. It also has a nice aroma and a decent smell which is not overpowering. With each step, my skin became more soft and fair for the time being.

Step 3: Glow massage gel

Directions: Moisten face. Gently massage the gel on the face for a few minutes. Clean with wet cotton pads.
My experience: Before massaging the gel onto my skin, I took a steam for 15 minutes and removed all my blackheads and white heads from my face especially the nose area and it cleaned really clean and I had a soft clean nose area. I really liked the gel as you can see due to  the way it looks. It was the best part in the facial as it is actually the best one was massaging and absorbed really well in the skin. It has gold dust which we can clearly see. My skin looked softer after using this gel.

Step 4: Glow face pack

Directions: Apply abundant quantity in a uniform layer to cover the face. Allow it to dry. Rinse thoroughly to wash off the pack. Pat dry.

My experience: The pack is a little thick is consistency and hard to apply as it forms a very thick layer, so I mixed it with rosewater and used it. Most of the packs of these facial kits sting as I have an acne-prone skin but luckily this did not. It has a nice sandalwood smell which is relaxing. It dried out in 10 minutes and I rinsed it off with a sponge and it came off in just one go. It made my skin glow even more but obviously the effects lasted for 2-3 days but that is almost the same in every facial.

Yes, I keep on buying this kit as soon as it gets over and will recommend it as gold facials are really expensive to get them done every 15 days or a month. This kit is a perfect alternative.
