Hey you all! I have missed all you guys so much ! Hope you all are doing great After the super awesome trip to Delhi and meeting Rati and Sajeevji *happy dance* Yes you guys! I was so excited seeing them, I just have to share the first day when I went to the classroom, Rati and I entered together and we met each other at the entrance of the office, I was like (eeeeeeeeee) from inside, but just said hi to Rati It was a very wonderful trip over all. Yeah, so after my long leaves from work, my work was eating me up since the day I came back, so did not get time to write anything, but then how far can one stay from IMBB
Okay, thank you for reading my blabber! Let’s move on to the mission for today: Mission Anti-ageing and Skin brightening
Ingredients Used:
I love eating pomegranate, so one evening when I was eating one and my hands were messy, I just massaged my face with the left over juice on my hand. When I washed my face, I realized an amazing brightness and soft skin! I immediately knew what I had to do next As always, here goes my research on the hero ingredient of this mask!
Pomegranate:
- Pomegranates are loaded with powerful antioxidants, Vitamins A, C and E, and zinc, all of which are essential for good skin.
- Anti-oxidants help fight free radical damage and the environmental stress that our skin goes through.
- Vitamin C and A promotes healthy skin by speeding the skin’s cell renewal process helping in Anti-ageing and brightening.
- Pomegranate also serves as an anti-bacterial agent, that helps acne prone skin. It has Zinc in it which controls sebum production.
- Pomegranate also contains anthocyanins (this gives the fruit its color), these strengthen blood vessel walls and improves circulation hence imparting glow to the skin! So please drink pomegranate juice as well.
Wow, I love getting into the science of everything So putting a full stop to science, here’s my very own recipe for anti-ageing and skin brightening face mask:
This you will need:
- Pomegranate paste (with seeds) – 1 tablespoon.
- Green tea – 1 tsp.
- Lemon – ½ tsp
- Yoghurt – ½ tsp
- Honey – ½ tsp
- Any base pack (optional).
Step by Step procedure:
Step 1: Make a paste of pomegranate in a blender. Keep the seeds intact (do eat as much as you can in this stage )
Step 2: Add yoghurt to the above mixture.
Step 3: Make some green tea and add a table spoon to the pomegranate paste (Oh and wait! Drink up the remaining tea! ) I always drink green tea with lemon in it, so the lemon has already gone in the pack with the green tea.
Step 4: Lastly, add honey to it and you’re done!
Step 5: (Optional) If you feel the pack is too liquid for you, you can add any base powder pack. I have added my favourite Kastoori Manjal
Apply this face pack when it is fresh and do not store it in the refrigerator or it may oxidize. So, always make it fresh. Also, do not rub this pack on your skin, as the seeds can be too harsh for your skin.
How To Use:
I clean my face with a mild cleanser like Cetaphil. Then, prepare myself a cup of green tea, meanwhile make pomegranate paste. I also steam my face with the green tea vapours for a minute After mixing everything, I apply it evenly on my face and neck (don’t forget your neck, it deserves care as well). Then, I sit back and start sipping my green tea!
Keep it on for 20 minutes (not more than 30 minutes) and then wash it with lukewarm water. Then, I spray nice chilled rose water on my face and I feel and look so fresh!
Use this face pack not more than twice a week as this acts as a natural peeling pack too. Pomegranate pack is suitable for all skin types dry and sensitive skin, please do not use lemon in it.
Hope you all like this anti-ageing and skin brightening pack and use it. You will get great results if used regularly.
Thank you all for reading, love you all.
