Hello lovelies,
It is a very girly habit to stock up lip balms and chap sticks even when you have tonnes of them in your closet. But we get so much tempted that we cannot resist. I have lots of tinted and flavoured lip balms which cannot be actually applied during night so I wanted to get one with some natural flavour which would be perfect for night lip treatment. I was really confused between aloe vera and almond but finally bought this one. So let’s see whether it worked or not as an overnight treatment.
Price:
Rs. 99 for 16 grams.
Product Description:
Aloe vera has been a natural healer and sun protector for thousands of years. This nutrient-rich lip balm prevents and corrects chapped, cracked lips. It protects with SPF 30 UVA/UVB sunscreen.
How To Use:
Smooth on and around bare lips, alone or under lipstick.
My Experience with Biotique Bio Aloe Vera Nourishing Lip Balm:
In search for an overnight lip balm, I came across this one and expected it to be a good one as the main ingredients were aloe vera and honey. The packaging comes in those trademark plastic Biotique tubs in green colour. The tubs are good when you use the product at the start, but as and when you try to finish the product, it becomes really difficult to take the product out as I have used many Biotique products earlier. I don’t really like their packaging as it looks very sad and everything looks almost the same, so it becomes a little difficult to distinguish. It has a lid inside as well and when you remove it, you can finally see the lip balm. A lip balm stick is more convenient to carry than these tubs.
The lip balm is thick in consistency like the lip butters and is white in colour. The smell is really good as the fragrance relates to a blend of vanilla and coconut which is delicious. I was expecting some herbal kind of a smell but amazingly this turned out to be really good in that matter. A pea-sized amount is needed for one application. It has very good SPF protection and I think it is far better than the other lip balms, but the main problem with this lip balm is that it looks very white on the lips. When applied it looks a little white but after an hour or so white lines are formed on the lips which looks very yuck!! Although it has a very good SPF, it is of no use because who would like to step out of the house with white lips.
So, as I wanted, I use it only during night time. It hydrates and moisturizes lips so well that I cannot explain. In the morning when you get up a little lip balm is still there and the lips are really soft and supple. It did heal chapped lips making them look smooth. I use it everyday and it is a very good overnight treatment.
Pros of Biotique Bio Aloe Vera Nourishing Lip Balm:

- Leaves a bad white colour on the lips and makes the lips look bad.
Do I Recommend/Will I Repurchase Biotique Bio Aloe Vera Nourishing Lip Balm?
I am not sure about buying it again as I just bought it a few days ago and this is going to go a long way and yes I do recommend it just for night-time for healing them and do not use it at the day-time at all as you will have bad white lines on your lips.
