Boots Strawberry Shower Gel Review

One very exciting thing I wanted to share with you guys.  Yesterday, when I was catching a local for my college, I met a girl and she asked me, “Are you Saloni Shah?” I was like yeah, how do you know me and she told me that you write for IMBB right and she told me that she was reading the blog for like 2 years now and loves it and I was really proud of myself to be a part of such a great blog where people recognize you like that. Love you IMBB and I will always be a part of this blog.

So, coming to the product for today, it is a strawberry flavoured shower gel from Boots.  I went to Alfa to just shop around, so picked this one and a couple of things more.

Rs. 210 for 250 ml.

Massage gel over skin and rinse. For best results use it with a shower puff or sponge.

My Experience with Boots Strawberry Shower Gel:

Boots is a brand which makes amazing intensive treatment masks and I have used most of those treatments so far.  So, I trust this brand and never hesitate while picking anything from this brand. Strawberry stuff gets immediately spotted. I am in unconditional love with anything related to strawberries, strawberry shakes, candies, cakes, perfumes, lip balms and shower gels too. Who does not like that delicious fruity smell? So that obsession made me pick this one. There were two more variants Satsuma and Green Apple, but I liked this one more. The shower gel comes in a huge vertical bottle made of plastic and the cap being transparent as well. It is a flip open one and the hole is really small, so only the needed quantity comes out. The shower gel is a luscious one blood red in colour when you look from the bottle but looks light pinkish red when you actually pour it on the loofah.

When I was using it, the smell is just awesome like some strawberry bubble gum or simply a candy floss.  I was so happy that it had a really sweet girly smell and it actually freshens you up in the morning and obviously it is a bye-bye to those lazy days when you feel like going to sleep again. I had a bad experience with my St. Ives Exfoliating Body Wash in terms of smell and duh one more in the list. When I came out, I had a very mild smell on my skin and I made my mom smell my hands and she couldn’t even recognize that I had used a strawberry shower gel. Why me every time, yaa??  I always get shower gels where the smell doesn’t even last for like half an hour, but I apply TBS Strawberry Body Butter to satisfy myself that yes I am smelling of strawberries because I can’t really throw it as I have just started using it. I think I should go back to TBS Strawberry Shower Gel.

It hydrated the skin well and left it soft and smooth and all the impurities had gone away and no itching on the skin at all after using it.  Overall, it is a good one and in fact I liked it as while bathing it smells luxurious and I don’t mind even if the smell does not last because the body creams do their work but I wish they had put a little bit of fragrance.

Pros of Boots Strawberry Shower Gel:

• Huge quantity.
• Fruity and delicious smell while taking bath.
• Hydrates the skin quite well by making it smooth and soft.
• No artificial smell.
• Small hole, so only the needed quantity comes out.
• No leakage from the bottle.
• A very mild fragrance after rinsing.

Cons of Boots Strawberry Shower Gel:

• Very mild smell after rinsing.
• People who don’t like fruity smell will not like this.

Will I Repurchase Boots Strawberry Shower Gel?

I may try a different flavour and if I don’t like them I will come back to this one, but the next time I pick a strawberry shower gel, it is going to be the TBS one.  Yes, I do recommend it as it has a nice fruity girly smell and people who like strawberry stuff are going to love this.
