Clinique Color Surge Lipstick - Pink Glamor Review

How are you guys doing? This is my second review from the brand “Clinique” and Jomol di a tribute to you lol  . I got this particular lipstick in a make-up kit but a year ago I was not very fond of applying lipsticks, so I used the other products and kept this lying somewhere in some of the make-up boxes. Now finally I removed this lipstick to be used after being inspired from IMBB. Seriously after such lovely reviews about lipsticks and swatches and stuff, I started using lipsticks too. As I am a big girl now, I should use lipsticks to give that mature look but I love glosses too. So let’s read more about this product.

How I liked the Clinique colour surge lipstick- 08 Pink glamour:

To start with, this range “the colour surge” normally comes with the Clinique kits that you buy. The kits consists of skincare and cosmetic products. And it has a caption called “not for sale” on it. But I recently saw some websites selling these lippies alone, I think the wanted to increase the availability as everyone is not interested in buying the whole kit. The packaging is the light aqua shade which every Clinique product has. But this looks very boring for a lipstick, as we have seen such funky and trendy packaging, but I think Clinique wants to maintain their sophisticated packaging . Its handy to carry and does not break when you drop it, as while adjusting this in my dressing table, I have dropped it a lot of times. You twist the bottom and the lipstick comes out, and it is very flexible not tight or something. I fell in love with the shade at the very first sight. I opened to see what the shade looked like and the first reaction was “The shade is soo damn stunning”. It a very bright peachy pink colour and looks absolutely gorgeous whether you wear it for day or at night-time, perfectly suitable for both the times. It has a lovely glossy finish which enhances the look of your lips. It did not dry out my lips on anything, in fact it was nourishing and moisturizing to the lips. The colour is very pigmented .

It survived a dinner and I was drinking water continuously, only a little colour was getting transferred to the glass not much. Even if you swipe the lipstick once the stunning shade appears on your lips, however if want it to be a little darker, you can swipe it just twice and you are done having this lovely shade on your lips. This one glides very smoothly on your lips, you don’t have to rub the lipstick on your lips as it is very pigmented. It actually does not smell like anything, no smell at all so this is sad thing for me but some people like using such lipsticks which don’t have fragrance. Overall it is a very good lipstick with long lasting power and super-pigmented colour as well.

-Handy to carry.
-Did not dry out the lips at all.
-Moisturizing and creamy texture.

Cons of Clinique Color Surge Lipstick – Pink Glamour:

-A little expensive as I does have really good competitors at this price.
-No fragrance at all.
-Availability.
-Dull and boring packaging.

Will I repurchase/recommend Clinique Color Surge Lipstick – Pink Glamour?

I loved the shade so I can ask some of my relatives to get it, as 5-6 times in a year the relatives come down from USA to India. I definitely recommend this shade as it looks gorgeous on the lips and make you stand out …!!
