Coloressence Lip Liner Pencil in Brown

Today for the first time I will be writing about a lip pencil. I don’t usually use lip pencils but after seeing so many options online, I decided to try some, but honestly I did not want to go for a costly one as I had a fear of not liking it. So I ordered a brown lip pencil from Coloressence. the pencil costed me INR 145.

This lip liner comes in an all black packaging with black body as well as cap. To show the color of the liner, a small paper is pasted on the bottom section of the pencil. It is a retractable pencil with a hexagonal shaped cap and body.

My take on the Coloressence Lip Liner Pencil in Brown:

I wanted to try this liner but I didn’t want to get a brown one as I do not apply brown lipsticks but as no other color was available I ordered this thinking that my mom will use it. Although I got it for my mom but now, I know that even I will use it a lot and not only as a liner but as an overall color. The reason for this is the color; it’s a perfect brown for me, neither too light/ nude not too dark. It’s a decent shade of brown. I loved the fact that this is a retractable liner as I tend to use the products that needs sharpening less often. But this is easy to use and carry as well. There is no need to think if the pencil sharpened or not? All I need to do is open the cap, twist the base and apply, without any hassle. The pencil is smooth to apply but I am not really sure about how will it feel when I use it as an overall color; I tried doing that once but that was just for an hour. There was no major problem but my lips started to feel dry. Next time I will try it with a balm over it.

I read in a review that even after twisting several times the color does not come out and even if it comes out it refuses to go back. This is not the case with me, so I feel that either I am lucky to have a good pencil or the lady has got a broken one. The things I am a little worried about are the ingredients which are not mentioned anywhere and the date of manufacturing. Hoping that my pencil won’t be more than 6 months old, I will try to finish it in less than 2 years and I really think I’ll be able to do it, as presently I am really liking the color.

The only con I can mention is the average staying power; this is a point which could have been improved. Except this I didn’t expect much from this and hence no more cons from my side.

After using this I have already ordered one more color but I might not order the same color again.
