Hello beautiful people!!
This is my first IMBB product review, really excited (read nervous). I found this product being advertised on the corner of my screen in one of those online shopping sites. Inquisitive as I am always, I went to see what it was all about. I saw their claim and the ingredient – Hyaluronic Filling Spheres, had to Google this. I learnt that this ingredient has some very interesting properties, like the ability to actually increase the volume of lips (although temporarily). Hence I straightway went and ordered this product.
Price:
Rs. 575 for 7.5 ml.
Product Description:
Deborah Milano Volume and Color Lip Plumper is formulated with Hyaluronic Filling Spheres which gives your chapped lips an extra glossy look. It has light reflecting glitter particles, giving you a “wet look.”
Features and Benefits:
- Stays up to 4 hours after application.
- 25% volume.
- Highlights your lips.
- Provides ultra-smooth finish.
Swatches:
In the above picture, the lighter one is just a light stroke and the second one of the swatches is a heavier stroke equivalent to two strokes.
My Experience with Deborah Milano Volume and Colour Lip Plumper – Sunset:
I wore it in the evening when we went out for dinner. I tried it in the evening as I don’t like the super glossy look during the daytime. In the first picture, I have used it on my clean lips, I applied a really light stroke.
I also tried applying it on moisturised lips, with lip liner (matte finish), and then filled in with this lip plumper.
This is after we returned from the dinner. I am a foodie and believe me, I ate a three-course meal. The staying power is really good. Apart from a little bleeding and unevenness, it was okay, I didn’t touch up. The lip plumper leaves a soft glow on my lips.
Pros of Deborah Milano Volume and Colour Lip Plumper – Sunset:
- Beautiful pinkish shade with glittering particles.
- Makes lips a bit fuller.
- Feels light on the lips, not sticky.
- Very little amount is sufficient to get that plumped-up look.
- Staying power is sufficiently good, well above 4 hours I would say. It stayed well on my lips even after we were back from the dinner.
- Does not bleed.
- Comes at a good price.
- Has moisturising effect, my lips felt smooth and supple after I remove the plumper.
Cons of Deborah Milano Volume and Colour Lip Plumper – Sunset:
- Causes mild tingling sensation.
- Packaging isn’t that great.
- The applicator isn’t that good.
Final Verdict:
Not for people who have thin lips and want to add volume, my lips are already on the fuller side, so it worked okay for me. Due to the moisturising effect, its good for the lips I feel. However, it fails on the main claim of imparting that superb lip plumping effect.
IMBB Rating:
4/5
