My Experience with Diana of London Eco-Beauty Concept Bamboo 6 Piece Brush Set:

I have been searching for a good set of brushes lately. I think good brushes are imperative for good makeup. I earlier had some Vega and Faces brushes, and I wanted to switch to something better. I cannot afford the MAC and the Sigma and they are not even available in my city.  I tried searching Youtube for some affordable brushes but most of them were not available in India. So, I was just surfing an online site ( totally for time-pass) and I spotted these brushes by DOL. The moment I read that these brushes are bamboo, cruelty free and are made with natural and recyclable material, I was like “wow.” I tried searching for some reviews about these and to my surprise, most of the reviews had praised it and said that they were exact dupes of Ecotools brushes. Ecotools is a brand from Paris Presents Incorporated and also makes such bamboo and environment friendly brushes about which I had heard a lot of rave reviews.

So, I wanted to buy them, but I still didn’t want to spend Rs. 1550 on them. I opened my email just to check a few mails and I found a 50% off coupon on DOL in one of those mails  and I knew I had to get them.  So, I got these brushes at 725 INR which is dirt cheap for 6 brushes and the quality I got was simply awesome.

The set has a pouch, Blush, Eye-Shading, Eyeliner, Concealer and lash groomer brushes. They come in a pouch which is made of 55% hemp and 45% cotton and the pouch is an absolute delight to carry and store my brushes. It is so convenient to carry my brushes in this pouch and if I want I can even carry these with me in my handbag.

Now, coming to the brushes. My most favourite brush among all is the blush brush.

This brush is a delight to use. It has very dense and compactly packed bristles and is the softest brush ever. Its bristles are super soft and so gentle on the skin. It is an absolute delight to use this brush. It does a great job for applying blushes and I have also used it for applying powder on my face and it worked wonderfully for that too. So, this is a two-in one brush for me and I love it to the core. There was no bristles fallout at all with this brush. I would give this a 5/5.

The second one is the concealer brush.

This brush is also quite soft and the is quite dense too. It does a good job of applying concealer without any streaks or lines. It can also be used as an eyeshadow brush. Rating: 4/5

The third one is the eye shading brush which is just a normal flat eye shadow brush.

It can be used to pat eyeshadow all over the eyelids or to apply any base.  This one too does the job done effectively and is soft like others. Rating: 3.5/5

The fourth one is the angled eyeliner brush and I love this one too.

I use it to apply gel liner and it gives me precise application. I just wish it was a little more thin for having even more precision but that’s not a con for me. Rating: 4.5/5

The last brush is the brow and lash groomer.

It has a lash groomer on one side and brow groomer adjacent to it. The brow groomer has the best bristles I have ever used and does a good job. The lash groomer is just the usual and nothing special. Rating:4/5

I have washed these brushes twice and there was no shedding except one or two bristles and they dried pretty fast too. Just had to be careful washing the blush brush because of its density.

Overall, I would totally recommend these brushes to all of you. They are definitely worth a try and even for 1550 INR, they are a good buy but if you get any discount on these, there is nothing better. The bristles are taklon and more hygienic and cruelty-free too. Plus they are perfect dupes for Ecotools!
