My Views:
Out of 4 variants Forest Essentials has to offer in its Lip Balms range, I am on my third variant, the Kerala Lime Glaze and probably in a month or you will be reading my review on the only pending Rose Petal version (which I am picking up next). Sweet Narangi has been my absolute favourite so far for its taste and fragrance and Lime Glaze belonging to the similar citric family is not far behind. Fragrance wise, Kerala Lime Glaze has a very very mild smell to it and though it has that lemony feel to it, it hardly lasts for a couple of minutes and tastes very bland too.
In general, Forest Essentials Lip Balms has the most amazing texture I have ever used – non – greasy, non-sticky, extremely light weight and it almost feels feathery light on the lips. In the pan, it looks hard but when it comes in contact with warmness of fingers, it melts instantly. It does not contain any tint and gives clear glossy sheen to the lips. The “all natural” ingredients work wonderfully on the lips making it not only soft, supple but also keeping dryness and chapped lips away. I haven’t felt my lips peeling off in months. And the most important advantage I could get out of it is lightening of my lip pigmentation. It works really slowly but there is a visible difference in lip pigmentation.
I simply adore its packaging! Cute oval case like tube with an inbuilt mirror and not to mention the golden colored lid, it all looks very classy! Initially, dipping my fingers seemed somewhat disgusting but it doesn’t bother me anymore. It just requires cleaning your hands everytime, So I am not complaining!
Pros:
- Lemon-y fragrance
- Made of natural ingredients
- Packaging is very classy & it comes with a tiny mirror
- Make lips extra soft & supple
- Works on lip pigmentation with regular usage
- Feels light on lips
- Leaves a glossy sheen behind
Cons:
- It’s a little costly
- Pan packaging is unhygienic to use
Verdict: A
Price: Rs 495/-
Recommendation: Forest Essentials Luscious Lip Balm in Kerala Lime Glaze has a mild fragrance and taste to it which is perfect for those who are not used to heavy fragrant lip balms. It has a velvety texture and feels silky soft on the lips. It is colourless, supremely moisturizing, lightweight and has even reduced my lip pigmentation. HG for me!
