Hi everybody
This DIY is something I have done after giving lot of thought, about how to derive the maximum out of a single product. We all know how good green tea is for acne-prone skin and that too not only internally but it is also very beneficial for the skin when applied externally. Today, using a single product as a base, we are going to derive three products to benefit our skin.
At the end of this DIY, you will have:
1. A green tea sun block/toner.
2. A green tea + sugar + turmeric + lemon juice scrub.
3. A green tea + besan face pack.
2. A green tea + sugar + turmeric + lemon juice scrub.
3. A green tea + besan face pack.
You will need:
1. Some green tea (quantity depends on how much end-product you want to make).
2. One teaspoon of sugar.
3. One teaspoon of lemon juice.
4. One teaspoon of besan (not included in the first pic).
5. A pinch of turmeric.
6. An empty container.
7. Some water.
2. One teaspoon of sugar.
3. One teaspoon of lemon juice.
4. One teaspoon of besan (not included in the first pic).
5. A pinch of turmeric.
6. An empty container.
7. Some water.
Let’s get started:
How To Make Sun Block/Toner:
First of all, let’s get done with the main product, i.e., the sun block.
Boil the green tea powder/leaves in the quantity of water required for the amount of green tea you have chosen and then strain the water and set this liquid aside in a separate container and allow it to cool off completely.
How To Make Green Tea Sugar Scrub:
Now, take the strained green tea residue and transfer one teaspoon of it into a bowl. To this, start adding a pinch of turmeric, one teaspoon of lemon juice, a few drops of the strained green tea liquid (optional) and finally add one teaspoon of the sugar granules (add the sugar in the end).
The green tea residue will provide anti-oxidant benefits to the skin while the turmeric and lemon juice will bring in the antiseptic effect and the semi-dissolved sugar will provide gentle exfoliation. Try this scrub to get rid of unwanted blemishes and dead skin cells on the skin.
How To Make Green Tea and Besan Face Pack:
Now, take another teaspoon full of the strained green tea residue and add a teaspoon of besan and the required amount of lemon juice to make it into a paste. Now, apply this mask to your face, let it dry and wash it off . It may take a while to dry off, but you will love the after-effects of this pack.
You can transfer the remaining strained green tea residue into an air tight container and store it in the refrigerator and use it the next time you want to use the scrub or face pack.
Final Step:
Now, once the green tea liquid has cooled down, transfer it into a clean container and store it in the refrigerator. You could use it as a toner before applying your makeup or use it as a sun block as green tea works great as a sunscreen. It might feel a little sticky initially when applied, but allow it at least 30 seconds to seep into your skin and let it dry off and you can then apply your makeup. That’s it, now you have three skin care products out of one base ingredient. Hope you try it out and enjoy the DIY. Muahh!!
