Hello Everyone,
I was looking for a lip balm that could be used at night and so I bumped into Khadi lip balms. I have used Khadi products before and they did not turn out to be bad, so I gave Khadi Herbal Watermelon Lip Balm a try. Moreover it read “watermelon,” and I was so tempted that I instantly bought it. Let us come down to the review of it.
Price:
Rs. 100 for 10 gm.
Shelf Life:
24 months.

My Experience with Khadi Herbal Watermelon Lip Balm:
I am not fond of lip balms that come in pots but then the flavor attracted me and I settled on buying it. The lip balm comes in a plastic pot with a screw cap. The cap secures tightly and thus makes it travel friendly. I noticed that the plastic is not really cheap as I tried hard to break the cap by applying pressure but it did not (only for the review purpose). But I cannot say if it will survive a fall as I did not want to risk it.
The texture of the lip balm is quite light, spreads easily and does not feel sticky on the lips. I make a point to wash my hands before I dip my finger in it. It smells very mildly of watermelon so sensitive noses should not have a problem. I noticed a slight tingling sensation on applying but it vanishes off in like 5 seconds. It keeps my lips moisturized all throughout the night but during the day it needs reapplication in about 3 hours. Lips appear slightly glossy post application but that disappears in an hour and you are left with soft moisturized lips. It does not give any tint to the lips so won’t cover any pigmentation.
Also, there is no mention of SPF so you cannot apply it during the day. I do not have chapped lips so can’t comment if it is effective in healing them. Overall, I quite like the lip balm and will continue to use it at night.
