Lakme Pop Tints Review: Berry Pink!

Lakme Pop Tints Review: Berry Pink!
If you ever went to Baskin & Robbins, knowing  full well which exact flavour you want, but still pretended to taste all the flavours they have gimme a high five !!! I know everytime i go i will have either  Mint chocolate chip or Chocolate Mousse Royale but a trip to B&R is incomplete without trying Very Berry Strawberry  yet again !! That is what this Lakme Pop Tint  in Berry Pink reminds me of- swirls of pink and gold that melt in your mouth (I didnt really eat the Pop tint, ….im just saying).
Berry Pink, is Berry Berry pretty. Sorry i couldnt resist. But yes, its basically a pretty, neutral mid tone rose pink that Indian girls seem to love !! A dusty pink that will flatter the deeper skintones as much as the lighter ones and one of those effortless colors that you can just throw on and forget about.
If you are wondering what the hell these pop tints are, they are basically  fancy sounding lip colors in chubby stick form (That is so berry common these days haan?) . Akin to their cousins Take me as i am lipcolors, they basically provide lipstick like pigmentation , good coverage and good hydration all rolled up into one pudgy, cute little stick thingie.  Sounds great right? It is, except for a few minor things. First of all, these dont fade evenly…so after about 2-3 hours you have uneven patches of  pop tints residue you feel berry berry annoyed. Secondly, they dont really apply very evenly either – this is something that differs from shade to shade and Berry Pink suffers from a slight degree because of that.
Pros:
  • Good Lipstick Like Pigmentation
  • Glides Smoothly
  • Keeps Lips Hydrated and Soft
  • Gives a nice, sheeny finish- like that of a mix between a satin and a lustre finish.
Cons:
  • Fades unevenly, and can apply unevenly as well
  • Doesnt last for more than 3 hours or so.
  • 800 Rs is a bit of a ridiculous price tag.

Verdict: B+
Price: Rs 800/-
Recommendation: Lakme Pop Tint in Berry Pink is a pretty neutral rose pink that will flatter dusky , medium tone and lighter skin tones with absolute ease. Pop tints are decently pigmented, they give good color coverage, are hydrating and glide on smoothly. Thye could use some improvement in the finish department- they do tend to go on a bit unevenly and when they fade they fade unevenly as well.  These aren’t bad, but for the price, you may want to spend elsewhere!
