Loreal Color Riche Le Gloss in Violet Attitude: Swatches & Review

My Makeup Mantra for this sweltering summer season- Lipsticks out. Glosses In. There is just one teeny problem with that mantra- My dresser is like the Bermuda’s Triangle for Lipglosses!! Im serious- once they enter that territory, its just a kiss of death…they vanish from the earth and can never be found in that mass of makeup anywhere. So when i was randomly rummaging through my drawers (one of my favourite random things to do when left home alone on a weekend) i chanced upon this Loreal Color Riche Le Gloss and i said“Hayyyyyy you! I forgot you existed”

I guess that wasn’t a very nice thing to say to it- that it was kind of forgettable, so its been sitting there giving me a bad  violet attitude all day long !!!

The Shade- Violet Attitude

Violet attitude is like a mid-tone fuschia pink with silver micro-shimmer.  The shimmer looks more obvious in the swatch but on the lips its pretty much unnoticeable. Its a color which looks really vibrant and bright while swatched, but because of the semi sheer nature of the gloss it settles into a much more muted, sort of sheer watch of plum pink on the lips-a color that is universally flattering.

The Texture- Loreal Color Riche Le Gloss

Couple of quick things. Firstly these are definitely quite sheer once you apply on the lips and after a while you only see a very faint hint of color along with gloss remaining . Secondly, these are very moisturizing-i will put them up there as definitely one of the most moisturizing glosses iv tested out so they make your lips very soft and supple. Thirdly, these are non sticky and inspite of that they do last for 3-4 hours but like i said before- the gloss lasts , the color doesn’t  I guess i feel a bit annoyed because the print advertisement of these glosses features a girl wearing a bright, electric fuchsia pink that’s full coverage and they seem full coverage in the tube as well so its a bit of a let down that they are weak in the pigment department. Lastly- i need a wand with my glosses, i just find these squeezy tubes very messy and inconvenient to work with.

Price: Rs 550/-

Recommendation: Loreal Color Riche Le Gloss in Violet Attitude is a semi sheer, mid tone fuschia pink with silver shimmer. These glosses are quite sheer, so you only get a very faint hint of color on the lips . If you are ok with the  sheer pigment, you may want to check these out because they are very moisturizing and make your lips soft and supple. I however, would pick the Revlon Colorburst in the same price bracket as compared to this- i need more pigment, and i definitely need a gloss with a wand. Plus this feels kind of gloopy!
