Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Lipgloss Review: Captivating Coral

Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Lipgloss Review: Captivating Coral
Everyone who thinks that ‘Orange Bar’ is a totally legit, drool worthy ice cream raise your hands!! See your Belgian chocolate-with butterscotch la-di-dah kind of scoops are nice once in a while, but come June and nothing and i mean NOTHING comes close to slurping the life out of an orange lick lolly (High five if you always ask for cola- but its sold out so have to eat orange instead) . Infact, the closest thing to the orange lick lolly is the Maybelline High Shine Gloss in Captivating Coral- it smells EXACTLY like how those iced, orange bars smell…and fortunately lookes much prettier than the orange stain they leave!!!
Maybelline claims “Maybelline’s Color Sensational High Shine Gloss is the perfect product to add a pop of shine and color to your lips this summer. With its wax free formula, the product gives you a crystal clear base that provides the purest colour and an untouched shine that is never hazy or muddy.”
Captivating Coral-The Color
Captivating Coral is really a pretty, warm orange. Think Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in Papaya- if that was your kind of shade then Captivating Coral will be your kind of shade too , just that this is oranger and a bit muddier i guess so if those kind of colours look too Oompa-Loompa-ish on you then try before you buy. I however, love these orange popsicle kind of colours, and specially captivating coral is super flattering once on the lips !!! It looks like a beautiful, vibrant peachy orange that is perfect to flaunt with a cute pair of shorts and flip flops !!!
Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Lipgloss: Thoughts on the Formula
With regards to the formula, i am totally sold on these babies! The formula is thin, and non sticky yet very pigmented!! It is moisturizing, goes on smoothly and lasts an average amount of time of about 3 hours which is actually pretty great for a non sticky gloss. Girls who have a problem with lipglosses being too sheer will love these- they are definitely very pigmented, more than the Revlon Colorburst ones as well.
One thing that can improve- when you apply these glosses initially they can look a bit streaky,  with gloss not spreading evenly across your lips…maybe because the wand is very thin. But if you  spend a bit of time on it  you get a nice, even, glossy coat of colour. …I just am not a huge fan of the shape of this wand. I like doe foots with more of an angle..this is quite straight!

Rushing for work wearing Maybelline Captivating Coral after a sleepless night (No electricity!)
Verdict: A+
Price: Rs 350/-
Recommendation: At the price they come for, the Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Lipglosses can give any high end lipgloss a kick on their behind. These are pigmented, smooth and non sticky with a gorgeous shine and glossy effect !!! Captivating Coral is just my kind of shade- a peachy orange that will surely flatter a lot of warm toned girls out there!
