My Views:
Another Maybelline Color Tattoo for you- promise the last one from my end and this one is called Audacious Asphalt. After trying out these color tattoo’s, in general I can say now that i am not bowled over by them . I mean they are not half bad , they are pretty decent but the way these were hyped up, they are definitely not my “HG” cream shadows, or must have product either.
Audacious Asphalt is a greyish black – gunmetal kind of shade with loads of silverish shimmer. It is a beautiful “smokey” kind of color which works great on its own as well as a base. In hurry or otherwise, it can be packed with a brush or fingers on the eyelids and little bit of blending is needed for a quick look. With a brush it is difficult to apply as it dries very quickly, fingers work much better as it warms up the shade. The finish is metallic and this one does not wrinkle up on the eyes as was the case with Bad to Bronze. It stays on forever without creasing until it is wiped off with a makeup remover. Cleanser won’t work, it needs a makeup remover, after all its a Color “Tattoo”. 
Being a drugstore brand, Maybelline has definitely done a fantastic job with color tattoo and they are suppose to be affordable dupes for MAC paint pots but there is a difference. The concept is similar but there is no exact dupe available in the range. Also, MAC paint pots lasts longer without drying out over the period. And its been about 2-3 months since I had the color tattoo, I already feel these are drying out in the pot but when warmed with fingers, it retains its texture.
Pros of Maybelline Color Tattoo Audacious Asphalt:

- Does not crease or wrinkle
- Affordable
- Color goes opaque in single swipe – very pigmented
- Perfect for smokey eyes
Cons of Maybelline Color Tattoo Audacious Asphalt:
- Dries quickly and needs to work faster with
- Have a tendency to dry in the pots
Verdict: A-
Price: Rs 350
Recommendation: Being a drugstore product, Maybelline is definitely offering great quality product in cream shadow range. As far as market is concerned, I don’t think except for MAC any other brand offers cream eyeshadows in India. And if you love doing smokey eye looks, Audacious Asphalt can be your best friend. It is highly pigmented; smooth textured and works wonderfully on its own with little care. The tub packaging is convenient and will last for really long time except it dries quickly and needs to be warmed with fingers.
