My Take on Maybelline Lash Stiletto Voluptuous Mascara:
I got this one through Amazon, along with the Maybelline Fit Me Blush. So, here is my review of this mascara.
Packaging: This mascara comes in a sleek red tube, which looks classy. What I most liked about the packing is the shape of the wand. Its slightly bent and the bristles are good enough to apply the mascara on the lashes and the brush separates them out neatly. The little bend in the wand makes the application easy and gives a little curve.
Color: The color is WF300 – brownish black. Its not a jet black shade, but looks grayish black, rather than brownish black. However, it looks natural on the lashes.
Texture: The mascara is creamy, but quite drying. It dries up pretty fast, in a few seconds, and you need to be really quick if you want to go for multiple coats. The first time I tried this, I took a little while to do the second coating, but I found it difficult, as the mascara had already dried and the lashes were set. Smells very chemical, but only if you take it close to your nose and sniff This is a waterproof formula and safe to use on lower lashes.
Lengthening and Volumizing: I have naturally thick eyelashes, so I generally do not look for volumizing mascaras. This gave my lashes the extra drama, neatly separating out my lashes and made them look fuller and defined. It looks defined all day without the lashes looking stiff and hard. It gets easily removed with a makeup remover. I use contact lenses and I felt no irritation. Also, I hate those mascaras that make my lashes feel heavy, but this one did not. I felt like I had nothing on my lashes. So, there is no impactful volumizing like they claim, but definitely adds length.
You can check the pictures to see how this has highlighted my lashes, without boosting the volume.
What I Like about Maybelline Lash Stiletto Voluptuous Mascara:
- Classy red packaging, easy to handle applicator wand.
- Curved wand gives a curling effect.
- Highlights eyes by adding length to lashes and makes them look bold.
- Stays on eyes and holds lashes for nearly 7-8 hours.
- Doesn’t make lashes feel heavy and no stinging sensation.
- No smudging.
- Waterproof formula.
- Creamy in texture.
What I Do Not Like about Maybelline Lash Stiletto Voluptuous Mascara:
- Dries up pretty fast, if you want to give a couple of more coats, make it fast.
- No volumizing effect, though not a con for me.
BB Rating:
3.8/5
Would I Recommend Maybelline Lash Stiletto Voluptuous Mascara?
Yes, if you want to add dramatic length to your lashes.
If you are looking for a jet black, volumizing mascara, then this is not for you. It can be used as a daily wear mascara, which builds lash appearance, with a feathery feel.
