This will be a review of Olay Fresh Effects Bead Me Up Exfoliating Cleanser.

Directions To Use:

Splash your face. Dispense a small amount of product into hands. Add water and work into a lather, adding more water if necessary. Massage gently onto face and neck and feel the microbeads softly scrub your skin. Rinse thoroughly. Avoid direct contact with eyes. For an even fresher effect, use together with an Olay Fresh Effects Moisturizer.

My Experience with Olay Fresh Effects Bead Me Up Exfoliating Cleanser:

Olay has recently introduced the “Fresh Effects” range for Spring 2013 which includes a variety of products ranging from cleansers, makeup remover wipes to even BB creams. I think this “Fresh Effects” range is definitely Olay’s attempt to capture the attention of the younger generation of beauty product users. The packaging is definitely much more fun and eye catching than the regular mature Olay products.

I bought this because I am a beauty freak, I always love trying new stuff. I like this cleanser very much.

Firstly, this cleanser is very heavily scented, but I don’t mind that too much since I like its fresh, floral, slightly chemical scent, but that might be a huge issue for people with sensitive skin and a sensitive nose 

The texture is of thick, creamy consistency that squeezes out of the tube. It lathers and foams well, and the beads are there but not in a high concentration.  You cannot see them in the cream, but you can feel them when you lather it on your skin. The beads are very micro fine resembling like salt, so it is not very abrasive on skin. They are not like Clean and Clear beads which dissolve or break on the skin.  The Olay beads stay put through the wash so it gives you enough time to really get into corners around your nose and really scrub those neglected areas.

This cleanser leaves your skin feeling fresh and clean, maybe a little too clean for me because I have really dry skin and this particular cleanser leaves it feeling drier. I have to do a follow up moisturizer or I end up with dry patches on my face. But for normal/oily skinned people this would work out great. It is not a great makeup remover and does not work well at all removing waterproof makeup, but maybe that’s why they also have makeup removing wipes in this range too.

Overall, I am happy and satisfied with this product, but I will not buy it again because it does not suit my skin type.

• Provides gentle exfoliation, good for using everyday.
• Very fine beads.
• Lathers very well.
• Love the packaging.

Cons of Olay Fresh Effects Bead Me Up Exfoliating Cleanser:

• Very strong scent, very heavily perfumed.
• Not suitable for dry skin.
