I bought some masks online a few days ago as I don’t like using just one mask because it bores me, so I keep on using different masks with different fragrances. My review for today is a self-heating mask from Purederm in Apricot.  This was my first time when I was using a self-heating mask and was keen to try how it worked. So, let’s jump directly to the review.

My Experience with Purederm Anti-Stress Heat Therapy Mask – Apricot:

I bought several masks online as my face packs and masks had finished and no woman can survive without them.  I saw certain variants online and put them into the basket. Coming to this one, as I have mentioned, it’s a self-heating mask.  I always had a perception about them that they never work, how can a mask heat up by itself? So, I sat and tried this.  Packaging is the most cutest thing I love about Purederm and Montagne Jeunesse masks. They look so different and obviously attracts women with the packaging itself. The lady on the packet has applied a creamy peach colour mask but actually the mask inside the packet was nothing like that. The mask was beautiful pink in colour.  I have never ever used a hot pink coloured mask in my life and pink is everyone’s best friend, so you guys can understand the attachment 

It was very runny in consistency and not at all creamy.  The mask was in a liquid form. It was like a body lotion when I actually took it into my palm to apply.  The smell is a nice perfumed fragrance and it feels really good to have such a smell which makes us feel relaxed.  The directions were to use warm water on the face and then apply the mask, I think that would help in heating it up.  I first applied a patch using cold water and the mask did not heat up much. So, that’s a thing you should keep in mind, use warm water or else the mask would be a big waste.

When I took it in my palm, the mask was cold, but the moment I applied it on my face, it actually started heating up and I was so happy that yes, it is really working, but the problem was that since it was very runny in consistency, the droplets were falling everywhere. They were coming down from my forehead and nose, on my lips, and going inside my mouth too and whenever I felt that heat sensation on my lips, I had to wipe it.  The droplets from my chin and neck were going down my whole body, its that runny. So, I would advise you wear an old top before using this one and use it before taking bath.  The heating sensation lasted till the time I washed it off. I kept it for 30 minutes. This pack can be used 3 times but it is very runny, so you have to use it as soon as possible because its not easy to store the remaining face mask.  Me and mom used it and I had to throw a little product away.  I washed it with cold water and it was easy to remove. My skin looked fairer and brighter and the dull and dark skin had gone away. I noticed a glow on my face.  The skin did look radiant, but not soft, it was normal only. The heat sensation lasted after washing, so I rubbed an ice cube over my face and cleaned my pores with the blackhead removing tool. I liked the effects, even though it was messy to use and I will always keep one backup and use it when I don’t have time to take steam and apply a pack separately.

Cons of Purederm Anti-Stress Heat Therapy Mask – Apricot:

• Did not make my skin any softer.
• Heating sensation was there for 15 minutes after removing the mask.
• The mask is very runny and would ruin clothes.
• Difficult to store.

Yes, do try this as it is a different kind of a mask that will heat up and clean your skin. It gives an instant glow, so perfect for use before going to a party or function. Yes, I will always keep one with me.
