Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Romantic

Its hard to find certain items  that both boys and girl can equally like. Take for example the TV- I definitely do not want to watch random sports news every night and he says he would rather punch himself in the face than watch ‘Pretty Little Liars’. So we went through a lot of potential shows together, but we have narrowed it down to ‘Suits’ and ‘Modern Family’ . So that’s our Ten PM Tv slot sorted ! You know what else is hard to find- a red lip color that both of you will like on you!! Now , honestly its not like the boy has any opinion on lip colors, except red in which his opinion is “Ewwwww santa claus” or “Ewwww is it blood?” or “Can i dip my sandwich because that looks like ketchup“. That was until The Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stain in Romantic !! I waited all day for a smart ass line about it, but nothing except “Hmm, you look nice”. You chubby little balm stain- you just scored yourself some major brownie points!!!

The color

Romantic is a soft, wash of red with a warm, orangey undertone. I think because its semi sheer, it dilutes the full blown impact of a red lipstick, but looks like a beautiful wash of berry on your lips. Like you just bit into a juicy strawberry!! It kind of reminds me of Viva Glam Cyndi which i love except Cyndi is more pink, and this is more red. This is a great way for girls who are scared of reds to get started on it- because i can wear this to work as easily as i can to a night out. Thats why i like having this stashed in my bag somewhere !

General Thoughts

Revlon Just Bitten Balm stains are decently pigmented lip products that give a soft, stained quality to your lips. Making it look like you have no lipstick on, but still giving a wash of color ! They definitely are not Lip Balm material, and they could up the moisture quotient, but they are definitely nice options to own just because of the finish they give. Some of them stain a bit unevenly, like Smitten did but Romantic did not have the same problems!

Recommendation: Romantic is definitely my favourite Just Bitten Balm Stain from Revlon!!!  Its a beautiful, beautiful warm red which looks like you just ate a berry on your lips. This also wasnt as drying as some of the other Balm Stains iv tried !
