VLCC Natural Sciences Lip Balm in Orange Review

I’m here with my view on VLCC Natural Sciences lip balm –Orange. I picked this one from a local super market, though I dint have the need to buy a lip balm. Please read to know further.
What it claims: This moisture rich formula soothes and conditions lips, keeping them soft and supple. SPF 15 protects from harmful effects of sun. Light, non greasy formula, provides long lasting moisture leaving the lips supple and hydrated.

My take on VLCC Natural Sciences Lip Balm in Orange:

The lip balm comes in a regular twist up pack, nothing fancy about the pack. The balm stick looks sunset orangish in color and smells truly of oranges. Very tangy and reminds me of the smell that comes from cookies filled with orange cream.

The balm glides on smoothly and leaves a shiny cast on your lips, with no color. It doesn’t make your lips greasy, but keeps them well hydrated. I felt my lips were soft and did not feel heavy after swiping it 2-3 times. It stays on your lips for barely 1-2 hours, and you need to reapply. Its not a great option if you have chapped lips and no way this will work in winters. During summers you can give it a go, for the tangy refreshing smell and the SPF. Again, the smell last for few minutes. I would rather prefer this to be worn beneath a lipstick as it colorless and non sticky.

What I like about VLCC Natural Sciences Lip Balm in Orange:

- Tangerine smell
- Sturdy packing. Easy to slip in your bag.
- Dirt cheap
- Non greasy & non- sticky
- Colorless and hence can be worm along with a lipstick. I purposely picked this non-tinted variant to use it beneath those super drying matt lipsticks.
- Contains Shea butter, coco butter and orange oil – makes your lips soft
- Contains SPF

What I do not like about VLCC Natural Sciences Lip Balm in Orange:

- The stay power of 1-2 hours
- The orangey smell goes off the moment you apply
- Not very hydrating and not apt for winter
- Does not treat chapped lips

Will I recommend VLCC Natural Sciences Lip Balm in Orange: Not really.
Overall, this is an average quality lip balm, which helps to keep your lips soft .It’s not sticky and greasy and doesn’t give a heavy feel on lips and can be preferably worn under a matt lipstick. Otherwise there is nothing impressive about this lip balm. For the price it retails, we cannot expect it to perform more.
I will finish this tube and will not pick this one again, when there are better choices available.
