Boots Lavender and Lilac Hand and Nail Cream Review

Hi lovelies,
I shall be reviewing a hand and nail cream from my latest haul. Actually I haven’t used a separate hand cream ever and I was intrigued by this one because of lavender being the main ingredient. I got the same from Watsons in Bangkok. Have been using this cream for last one month, read on further to find out my experience with my new find.

My take on Boots Lavender and Lilac Hand and Nail Cream:

Packaging:
It comes in transparent plastic tube with a flip cap top. The cap clicks shut tightly. The tube can easily be carried in a purse as there are no worries of leakage or spillage. With the transparent packaging it is very easy to find out how much is used and what is leftover.

Colour/ Consistency:
It has a beautiful lavender colour. The pastel shade looks extremely nice and pleasant. It is the first time I have seen a lavender coloured cream. The consistency is just apt for the cream, neither runny nor too thick. It gets absorbed within seconds and does not leave a greasy residue.
Fragrance:
The initial outburst is quite strong but that remains for only a few seconds. Thereafter a light aromatic fragrance lingers for some time. It does smell of lavender but cant say the same for lilac. Fragrance though is subjective and personal but I dint like it much.
Efficacy:
My skin felt moisturised for half an hour or so but after that it was again screaming for moisture. I even applied it overnight but dint find any substantial improvement in the morning. I was expecting the softness to last for atleast 2 hours or so but that did not happen. Also once I washed my hands, there was not even an iota of the cream/moisture left. There was no improvement in my nails or in the area around the nails.
All in all, it is an average cream which does not do what it is meant for. Only the colour of the cream is a big yay otherwise it is below average in all aspects.
