Bourjois Softly Tinted Lip Cream – Brun Onctueux Review

See it is not VOV today, it is Bourjois. So this is my third and last product from online 50% sale. It is Bourjois Paris softly tinted lip cream- Brun onctueux. I developed a craze for buying lip glosses after so many lippies. So I bought this and maxfactor one. Sadly, both of them cannot be worn alone but I love how I can experiment with this one over different lipsticks and shades. Read on to find more.

My experience with Bourjois Softly Tinted Lip Cream – Brun Onctueux:

Boujois paris is a French brand and they have such fancy names which I cannot even pronounce correctly, like this one- brun onctueux. Anyways, this comes in a transparent tube kind of packaging. There is nothing special about it. Almost all lip creams be it from lakme, avon or any other brand come in a similar packaging. Though this can be tightly closed but I always fear spillage with tube glosses since it has happened to me once. So I do not carry tube lip creams/glosses in my purse.

Coming, to the shade it is burnt caramel or copper kind of color. Now brownish copper kind of shades make my complexion appear dark. I do not know what I was thinking while buying this, may be discount offer was all the reason I bought this for  Also, it has fine copper shimmer in it. I do not like shimmers in lippies but this does not looks over the top. Now since I have this, I thought I will have to work with it, so I experimented it with different shades. The benefit you have with lip creams is that they mix with lipsticks and form a different shade all together. In the swatches I have tried it with Colorbar crème touch caffe latte. The result was pretty good. I can mix and match this with so many shades and it makes itself appear new each time. I love using it over lippies for evening functions. It makes your pout appear se*y that ways. This shade would please dusky beauties quite well – both alone and with lippies.

This remains for 2-3 hours. I never expect a gloss to stay put more than that. We buy glosses for their charm and we know we have to keep touching up with them. There is no fragrance/smell associated with this one. Lip creams are always sticky. This is a negative point about them but I can wear it once in a while times for evening functions strictly with tied hair. Those who do not like sticky creams at all can skip this.
Overall, you can buy this beauty if you like to experiment with your lippies. I was disappointed at first but then using it over other lipsticks made me fall in love with this. Lip cream tubes go a long way for me. So I do not buy so many of them unlike lipsticks which I stock up like there is no tomorrow.
