ELF Studio Blush Berry Merry Review
Guest post (Light Skintone, Dry Skin)
Sometimes, there are some things you know that are bad for you , but you still going back to . Like me and powder blush, i have dry skin and every time i make it a point to pick up a cream blush next, i find myself pickign up yet another powder blush to add to my kitter. ELF Studio Blush Berry Merry is yet another example of a powder blush in my makeup drawer.
Product Description:
The soft sheer texture blends into the skin for a silky finish. Designed to be worn alone or layered for more depth. Highlight your complexion with a subtle healthy glow.
My take on ELF Studio Blush Berry Merry:
ELF Studio Blushes are very handy to have around and they come in a variety of shades. The price too is worth the product quality. The packaging is very strong and sturdy. The blush comes in a black compact case with a rectangular pan holding the color blush. It has a strong cover lid too with a small see through portion. I love see through packaged products for the ease of use they give.
The shade version Berry Merry is a a berry -mauve color. It has some percentage of mauve in it to look at but the pink comes through more when applied on the skin. Its more of a floaty, cloudy kind of pink. This shade has gold and silver shimmers, but the gold ones outshine the silver so they give a nice glowy sheen to your cheeks!
The texture however is not too silky like the usual blushes. It is a little more powdery if compared to other blushes. But a slight tap on the brush after picking the product will do the trick of getting the right shade on to the cheeks. On fair skin tone a light hand application will be the best; else it might end up looking as though you had sunburn on your cheeks recently.
Since my skin is very dry and the weather too is dry, the blush is not being very good to me. Since the blush is also dry and powdery, the dryness in my skin gets highlighted. My cheeks show up all the fine lines with this powder blush. L. This is definitely not a product for dry skin people, that too during off-summer season. I will use this during summer; may be my skin’s opinion might change then. So putting this blush on hold as of now since it is not suiting me currently.
Rating: B
Price: $3.99
Recommendation: For people with oily or normal skin, this is nice blush to have for the price. Im not a fan of the texture- its not silky enough, and on my dry skin it becomes patchy and settles into lines. I do see girls with normal or oily skin loving this though and not having any problems with it!
