How are you doing? I told you I am high on all cosmetics nowadays, not just VOV. So here is a lip gloss review from Maxfactor. There was a 50% sale on a cosmetic site around 10 days back.( Ok if you got excited, let me tell you, the sale is over now.  ) So I picked up three products then. This is one of those. Read on to know my experience.

Price: INR 575 but I got if for INR 288.

My experience with Maxfactor Vibrant Curve Effect Lip Gloss – Dominant

I had ordered this gloss with some other cosmetics online. So I was really excited for it. Seeing all the Maybelline and Colorbar glosses reviews I wanted to have a creamy colored gloss. I was expecting this one to be the same and ordered this strawberry kind of shade. As soon as the parcel came, I opened up and put this on my lips. Ahhh it was a sheer gloss. Not that it is bad or something. It is good as a sheer gloss. But I wanted to have a creamy colored one.

Well, to describe this, it comes in a long transparent tube (whose cap is longer than the gloss part) with curved foot applicator. It has ring closure mechanism which ensures no leakage. So you can carry it safely in your bags.

The gloss is smooth and sheer on application. I was badly expecting some color from this one. See how yummy it looks in the tube but it is completely sheer on application. It is clear gloss which I cannot use on my bare lips. It works well on top of lipsticks. I mean that is the only way I can use it.

The best part about this lip gloss is that it is non-sticky. You do not get that euuuk feeling that you otherwise get when you purse your lips with the sticky glosses. It is completely non sticky and that is why I am still liking it. It smells of a sweet melon on application. If you like sweet fruity smell you will love it. Even if you do not like such smells, do not worry it lasts only during application.
It stays on for around 2 hours. Almost all glosses stay for a short duration only. You can never expect a gloss to last for 6 hours isn’t it?

So, overall if you are looking for a sheer gloss on top of your lipsticks or college goers who otherwise like sheer glosses only, you can pick this up. The ones like me who are so much into creamy colored glosses -stay away or else you will be left heart-broken.

p.s. I could not show you the gloss on my bare lips as it was barely visible. So I have put this up on Vovberry berry for the swatches.

• INR 575 is not fair for a clear gloss.

Will I repurchase Maxfactor Vibrant Curve Effect Lip Gloss – Dominant?

Nooo… I will buy Maybelline one next.
