Coral is undoubtedly the go-to shade for most of us when it comes to Lipsticks. Corals brighten up the face without making us look tacky, and look fresh and youthful on the lips. When I saw these new shades of Colorsensational High Shine Lipsticks at the Maybelline counter, I was head over heels in love with Fruit Punch but when I applied this on my lips I was sold on how well it looked on me! I bought this without even giving it a single thought. *Such purchases have always failed me, but this baby is an exception*. I have been wearing this lipstick a lot and I love, love, love the shade a lot!

Expert Tip:

• Apply your lip color by starting in the center of your upper lip. Work from the center to the outer edges of your lip, following the contours of your mouth. Then glide across the entire bottom lip.

I love this lipstick because of a number of reasons. It is coral, glossy and suits me perfectly. This is a kind of Coral which would make you look fresh and pretty without being a bright, neon coral . A sheer wash of shiney, orangey coral on the lips just to perk up the face ! I do feel that if the lipstick would have been sans shimmer, it would have been better but since it claims to be high-shine and I knew the claims while buying, this is not something where the brand is at fault. I love pairing it with Peach blushes and it looks matches perfectly . You may apply it lightly to make it look good for work too. Maybelline has come up with great products every time and this is surely one of the best ranges introduced by Maybelline and with only 4 shades, they have got themselves a winner.

In terms of pigmentation, these are more sheer than the regular Color Sensational Lipsticks, but that’s what they aim to do-provide lightweight , wash of color on the lips. Perfect for summer months when you don’t want extra goop on your lips. The staying power is not very impressive, it stays for 2-3 hours leaving a light tint behind. I always exfoliate my lips before applying lipsticks and sometimes when my lips are not very well moisturized, I find this a rad bit drying to lips. But just a swipe of lip balm makes it OK.

Recommendation: Maybelline Colorsensational High Shine Lipstick in Coral Lustre is a lightweight, sheer orangey coral that can be built up in pigmentation to a high shine, impactful finish . These lipsticks are perfect for the summer months because  of how light they feel and how glossy and fresh they look!
