TBS Loose Powder in Shade 02 – My Fairy Dust
Guest review Skin Type – Normal in winter. Normal to oily in summer. NC 40.
I have been wanting to try a loose powder for a while now. Till date I have only tried pressed powders and compacts and somehow they always look a tad bit unnatural on my face – slightly chalky. I dont know if I always (like ALWAYS) end up with a wrong shade or is it just the case of compacts not agreeing with me! So while hanging around at the The Body Shop store I decided to let the SA try this TBS Loose Powder on my face – and “Boom” I fell in love! It instantly brightened my face, provided a very natural glow..did not look unnatural or unnecessarily matte. It was everything I wanted in my powder and more !
Coverage wise it did not do too much – however the glow somehow minimizes the appearance of small blemishes. I mean that my skin looks so pretty and glowing that I cant really concentrate on the tiny marks which I would otherwise notice. It doesn’t hide but distracts from the imperfections – which is all right for me as my skin doesn’t really need heavy coverage – just an evening out of skin tone is enough.
I have now added this to my daily makeup routine and see myself using it for a very long time.Only one thing, I am not sure how this will fare during the damp summer months here when my skin is oilier.
Pros of Body Shop Loose Powder
- Adds a glow to the face – brightens it up
- Looks natural
- Sets makeup beautifully
- Evens out skin tone
Cons of Body SHop Loose Powder
- Not too much coverage, however the glow compensates for it
- Doesn’t really mattify the skin – so oily skinned girls should try before they buy
- Traveling with it is difficult – too much product is deposited on the perforated lid if I carry it around in my bag
Overall recommendation – A
Price: Rs 830/-
Recommendation: The Body Shop Loose Powder adds a beautiful glow to the face – making it look clearer and brighter. Sets makeup perfectly , while on its own it evens out the skin tone very well. I can see this working very well with normal and dry skinned girls, but since this doesnt overly mattify- Oily skinned girls should try before they buy.
