You know how i thought my family is so cute and naive, because everytime i tell them i might be featured in some magazine they get like “Ooh On the Cover??” . And then i roll my eyes and say “Im not Katrina Kaif”. Well guess what, i actually AM on the cover this time (with 40 other girls), and i had no clue about it !!!! Im yet to get my hands on the latest Femina Made by You Issue, but thanks Marianne for letting me know. Definitely cheered me up today morning!!! Yayieee! Will get you guys the soft copy soon! But now, lets keep the excitement in control because we have a stunning new product to test out-The Sephora Powder Blush in Healthy Rose.
First of all, when i go to Sephora, the last thing i look at are the Sephora products. I mean, i would have totally overlooked this in front of all the shiny, colorful brands available, but im glad i didn’t because this can totally give any high end brand a run for its money. Healthy Rose is the prettiest peachy pinks iv seen in my whole entire life of reviewing blushes. Serious. Prettiest! It looks more peach in the pan , almost like an apricot color but on the cheeks its just a beautiful peachy-pink soft cloudy flush! Favourite blush currently to pair with pink lips! It has this really tiny, unnoticeable gold shimmer in it, which only shows up as a soft sheen on the cheek and looks gorgeous as well. This is suited best for medium skintones and lighter ones, i think darker ones may have an issue with this showing up!
Its not all about prettiness with this blush though, its also about how blendable and fine the powder is. No patchiness, just one sweep of this and you have a perfectly blended, diffused cheek!! It really does blend like a dream and is extremely soft. It is pretty good in terms of pigmentation as well- you wont get like a pop of color with one swipe, but layer it on and its a very pigmented blush. I like blushes to be that way – its easier to avoid the clown cheek syndrome if they can be built up in pigmentation and not be like one blob of color! The only area where it could possibly use some improvement is the longevity department. Somehow this didnt last on me too long- i would say 3-4 hours tops !
Possible Dupes: Lakme Absolute Day Blush is very similar
* Iv worn a very sheer layer here, its much more pigmented and much more pretty in real life!
Verdict: A
Price: Approx 800 INR
Recommendation: The Sephora Blush in Healthy Rose is a stunning peachy pink that works perfectly with medium or lighter skin tones. This blush is super soft and super blendable with a beautiful finely milled texture. You can layer it on and build up the pigmentation to your desired level and the only thing i can nitpick about this is that i wish it lasted just a tiny bit longer !
