Yes To Cucumbers Calming Facial Mask Review

I have been checking the brand “Yes To Carrots” out for a long time now and was attracted to their natural ingredients.  I couldn’t find many positive reviews and this brand is quite expensive here in Australia, so I was reluctant to try this brand. I however recently saw, Yes To Carrots, Yes To Blueberries, Yes To Cucumbres, as well as Yes To Tomatoes had a small discount and at the same time I had a $5 off voucher from Priceline because of my loyalty card so I thought of using it on this brand. After checking out some reviews, I decided to purchase the calming face mask by Yes To Cucumbers.  I love the idea of a cucumber face pack in a jar, so this really tempted me.  This mask did not have a tester at the store, so I couldn’t really see the colour or consistency of the product. The box was large, so I thought it was worth the AUD18 I paid. The only other “yes to” product I have tried so far is the Yes To Cucumbers Cleansing Wipes, which was an okay product. The “Yes To” brand is all natural but it is not an expensive/high-end brand by any standards. This brand is very competitively priced in USA, but it is expensive in Australia.

Apply a thin layer of mask to cleansed face avoiding eyes and mouth. Leave on for 5 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water or with a damp wash cloth. Pat dry and smile.

My Experience with Yes To Cucumbers Calming Facial Mask:

This product comes in a white round tub. The packaging is non fussy and simple. The cardboard packaging was misleading as the box was quite big but the tub inside was quite small. The product is clay type in consistency; however, I was expecting a gel type mask-because it said cucumbers (didn’t read the ingredient list properly).

The product smelt of fresh cucumbers and is of greenish gray colour and the product spreads easily on my skin. The cucumber fragrance made me relax a bit and actually has some aromatherapy properties. Within a minute, I felt the mask harden.  Even though the directions ask us to leave for 5 minutes, I felt it was too short, so I left it on for 10 minutes. Washing off took a little bit effort. I was quite anxious to see how this mask would make me react as I had read quite a few negative reviews that the mask stings.

This mask did not sting, nor irritate my skin; however, it might react differently on different types of skin. After washing off, I felt my was cleansed and impurities removed from skin. Pores appeared to be smaller, but this effect was temporary. My face looked brighter for at least 2 days.  This mask does everything that a normal clay mask does but without making skin dry.

Pros of Yes To Cucumbers Calming Facial Mask:

• Cleanses skin and makes skin brighter.
• Pores look temporarily smaller after using this mask.
• The pot is easy to carry around when travelling.
• 98% natural product, does not contain Parabens, Phthalates or SLS.
• The cucumber smell is fresh and has calming properties.

Cons of Yes To Cucumbers Calming Facial Mask:

• The size of the box is misleading as the jar inside is quite small.
• At full price , this product is on the pricey side, especially in Australia.
• Washing it off is a bit hard.
• Might not be easily available in all countries.

This is quite a good face mask especially if you want to use a clay mask that doesn’t dry skin. However, when I compare it with the price and the amount we get, I wouldn’t call this a “wow” or a must-buy product.

Will I Repurchase Yes To Cucumbers Calming Facial Mask?

Not immediately, but I will buy this again if it is on sale.
